Corrections may relate to issues such as:
Author names or affiliations
Factual or typographical errors
Figures, tables, or other published information
Errors in references or metadata
The correction will be linked to the original article where appropriate.
Retractions
An article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings or content are unreliable or when serious ethical or publication-related concerns are confirmed.
Possible reasons for retraction may include:
Fabrication or falsification of data
Significant plagiarism
Duplicate or redundant publication
Serious methodological or ethical problems
Major errors that invalidate the findings
Manipulation of the peer-review or publication process
Other serious violations of publication ethics
A retraction notice will provide an appropriate explanation for the action. The original article may remain available with a clear indication that it has been retracted in order to preserve the scholarly record.
Expressions of Concern
Where serious concerns have been raised but an investigation is not yet complete, JPAAS may publish an Expression of Concern to alert readers while the matter is being investigated.
Author Response
Authors may be contacted for clarification or supporting information when an error or ethical concern is identified. The journal will consider relevant information provided by the authors before taking a final decision.
Post-Publication Integrity
JPAAS encourages authors, reviewers, and readers to report significant errors or concerns regarding published articles to the editorial office.
The journal reserves the right to take appropriate action to maintain the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the published scholarly record.
